A snapshot of me
Like any other Asian kid, my dad always wanted me to be a doctor. While I loved the noble mission of saving lives and helping people, *spoiler alert* I did not become a doctor (sorry dad!). However, I did learn that there are many ways to help people while combining all the things I loved - design and psychology, and found myself in the wonderful world of UX/Product Design.
I’ve since had the privilege of working on amazingly meaningful products, like an award-winning seizure prediction app, and hospital task communication software.
Outside of work, you’ll find me writing, drawing mental health comics, and trying psychology quizzes (hah!)
I believe in waking up excited on Mondays, and always give 300% to missions I believe in!
Check out snapshots of what I do below :) 👇
UX Research
My need for input means that I’ll always seek context and feedback before, during, and after designing! From messy discovery boards to synthesised, actionable reports, I love the process of applying Psychology and empathy, to understand the why, what, and how of design.
UX/UI Design
Nothing gets me in the flow quicker than working on designs in Figma!
I like to go broad in explorations, but keep solutions actionable, and on the pulse of business and user needs.
Visual Design
I care about making things feel and look good ! I have a background in Graphic Design, where I developed strong foundations in visual design, which I’ve been able to flex in storytelling and crafting digital products.
Yes, I’ll notice that weird spacing between the components :,)
People, community, collaboration
“We are people before our jobs” - a quote I’ll never forget from a Product Manager I really enjoyed working with.
I believe that building authentic relationships are the backbone of what makes us effective at our work. From working with stakeholders of all shapes and sizes, to creating safe spaces for people to connect and collaborate, I love when I get to contribute to synergy at work.
Yes, I’ll ask “how are you” and genuinely want to know and learn about you!
My Top 3 Strengths
*A popular corporate personality assessment I’ve undertaken as part of a team building exercise, which might give some context (or an interesting conversational point) into how I work!
